Durafilter Media Grade 1

An improved alternative to sand and gravel.
Grade 1 replaces sand whilst Grade 3 replaces gravel.
Unlike sand, glass media does not need to be changed every 5 years, it will almost certainly outlast your filter tank.
Pools using this media use less chlorine and need to be backwashed less.
You can expect a payback period of less than 12 months when converting from sand to glass media.
The media needs to be layered in the tank with Grade 3 at the bottom.
It is usual to use between 10% and 20% of total as grade 3.
